The Lector’s meeting was organized in the parish on Sunday March 8th with the aim of deepening the understanding and commitment of those involved in the ministry of proclaiming the word of God during the liturgy. The resource person for the session was Fr. Rudolph Pinto OCD, Executive secretary to the Liturgical commission of India. He beautifully explained the liturgical guidelines, rules and regulations related to the ministry of lectors in the church. He also emphasized the need for proper preparation, prayerful reading and reverence for the sacred scriptures so that the word of God may truly touch the hearts of the faithful.
The session was well attended by more than seventy participants, including coordinators, lectors, and readers involved in the liturgy. It was an enriching and informative gathering for all who take part in proclaiming the word of God. The active participation and keen interest shown by the attendees made the session meaningful and fruitful. At the end of the session the parish priest, Fr. Boniface D Souza OCD expressed his sincere thanks to the guest speaker for his inspiring and enlightening presentation. He also thanked all the coordinators, lectors, and readers who took time to attend the session and encouraged them to continue serving the church with dedication and reverence in proclaiming the word of God.
