The solemn blessing and Inauguration of a grotto of our Blessed Mother Mary at St. Mary’s church, Hegde Nagar was done by Rev. Fr George Santhumayor, Provincial Superior on Easter Sunday 17 April 2022. He officiated the Easter mass at 7:00 am and he preached an inspiring homily on the mystery of Jesus’ resurrection after which he inaugurated and blessed the grotto which was built in honour of Mother Mary. Fr Provincial invited the faithful to pray the Rosary and to have a special devotion to our heavenly Mother. Fr. Boniface D’ Souza, Parish Priest; Frs. Jovel Oliver, Adarsh Rodrigues, and Vinod Lobo were present for the inauguration of the grotto. More than three hundred people witnessed the blessing of the grotto. The parish is thankful to the donor who helped to build this beautiful grotto. After the inauguration snacks were distributed to all. May this grotto become a source of inspiration to all to inculcate true devotion in the lives of the faithful towards our Heavenly Mother.
